Privacy policy

Effective date: July 27, 2026 · applies to the repline iOS app and this website

The short version: your workout data lives on your phone and nowhere else. repline's analysis engine runs on-device, so we never need, and never take, a copy of your training history. What little we do process is listed below, in plain language.

01Who we are

repline is operated by Salvatore Papia (“repline”, “we”, “us”). For anything privacy-related, reach us through the support page.

02Data that stays on your device

The following is stored only in the app's local database on your device. It is not transmitted to us, and we have no server-side copy of it:

  • Workouts, sets, reps, weights, RPE, and per-exercise notes
  • Cardio sessions (time, distance, effort)
  • Training plans, blocks, schedules, and engine suggestions
  • Bodyweight entries and trends
  • Your training profile (age, biological sex, experience level, goal, caloric phase, available equipment) entered during onboarding

Why we can promise this: repline's advice engine runs entirely on your phone. It reads your local data, produces its recommendation locally, and never calls a server to do it. There is no workout database on our side to breach, sell, or subpoena.

One consequence worth knowing: your phone's own backup system (iCloud) may include the app's data, under Apple's backup terms you already have with them. That backup belongs to you, not us, and it's also the only way to restore your training history if you delete the app or lose the device.

03Data we do process

Using the app in guest mode (logging only) requires no account and sends us no personal data. If you sign in (only needed for the free trial and repline Pro), we process:

DataWhere it comes fromWhy we have it
Email address Sign in with Apple or Google (Apple lets you hide your real email) Your account identity
Account ID Created at sign-in Linking your trial or subscription status to you
Entitlement status Your trial start date and subscription state Knowing whether Pro features are unlocked, including across devices

Payment details (card numbers, billing address) are handled entirely by Apple. We never see them; we only receive confirmation from Apple that a subscription is active.

04What we don't do

  • We don't sell or rent your data to anyone.
  • We don't show ads and don't share data with ad networks.
  • We don't collect your workout content, ever.
  • We don't use your data to train third-party AI models.
  • The app currently includes no analytics or tracking SDKs at all.

05Service providers

The small amount of data described in section 03 is processed with the help of:

  • Supabase hosts our authentication and the entitlement record.
  • Apple processes sign-in (Sign in with Apple) and all payments.
  • Google processes sign-in if you choose Sign in with Google.

Each provider processes data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments; we share only what's needed for the function described.

06This website

This website is a static site. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or ad trackers. Fonts are served by Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when your browser requests the font files, as with any web resource.

07Data retention & deletion

  • On-device data: under your control. Delete entries in-app, or remove everything by deleting the app.
  • Account data: kept while your account exists. You can delete your account from Settings → Account & subscription inside the app; this permanently removes your account and entitlement records from our systems (and, as the app's confirmation dialog states, also removes workout data from the device). Full instructions: the delete-account page.

08Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR in the EU/UK or comparable laws elsewhere), you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete personal data we hold about you. Since almost everything lives on your device, most of these you can exercise directly in the app. For the rest, reach us through the support page.

09Children

repline is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

10Security

Account and entitlement data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS) and stored with access controls on infrastructure hosted by the providers above. The most sensitive data, your training history, has the strongest protection available: it never leaves your device in the first place.

11Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a meaningful way (for example, if a future version of repline adds optional cloud sync or product analytics), we'll update this page, change the effective date above, and flag the change in the app before it applies to you.

12Contact

Questions, requests, complaints: through the support page.
